Dan's Story:

Life is a journey, and He takes joy in the journey! It is during the course of life’s journey that His Spirit refines and defines His calling on our lives.

I found Christ during my early teen years, and even then, my voice stood out. My Drama Coach and Class Counselor recognized this and suggested I pursue a course of study in Radio and Television Vocational Education. Christian music was in its infancy then, and the new sounds of guitars, drums, and soaring harmonies were referred to as “Jesus Music!

At this point in my life, my career took different twists and turns, but it’s safe to say that God’s will was at work. After several years working in Christian TV, I came across an ad in a local newspaper. The ad was seeking someone who desired a new start in life, working in Christian radio. I responded to that ad and met with the Station Manager. After a weekend of prayer and reflection, I accepted my first full-time position in Christian radio.

Years later, my path to Christian Life Radio and the Christian Music Preservation project began similarly – with prayer. I’ll never forget the day the Board of Directors and Ron Maxwell invited me to join the ministry team. To say it is solely an answer to prayer doesn’t capture the full story. Yes, my prayers to serve the Lord were answered, but it also gave me an opportunity to contribute to the goals and growth of the Christian Music Preservation project: to Preserve and Protect our musical heritage.

It is my sincere hope that, through sharing encouragement and music on Christian Life Radio, I can inspire you in a way that will help you live life and find joy along your own journey.
